Steve Pilley
Strange The Moon

Strange: the Moon, that tugs at blood and tides,
can tug my single thought to needy tears
and half a million magnet miles can link
the knot in my gut to the knot in yours.

Tomorrow and a smile will mend the charm,
then hand in hand we'll celebrate the Moon
the way that lovers do, with speechless eyes.
Two hearts so tuned can't help but pulse as one.
