Christine Billington

Colours

The palette dazzles colours
as the artist takes his brush
gradually mixing hues
cobalt with flake of white

creating a springtime sky.
A dash of emerald gives
mountains lifting up their heads.
The palette dazzles colour.

Terracotta brick housing
lines the golden Spanish shore
between lime and lemon trees;
as the artist takes his brush.

Now the canvas radiates
a rainbow, gods' gift to man.
A talent shared through artist
gradually mixing hues.

And across the sea, reflects
the endless springtime skyline
mixed with various colours
cobalt with a flake of white.
